About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website and when you hire Precision Property Services ("Precision", "we", "us") for snow removal, cleanups, lawn care, landscaping or other property services in and around Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Your written quote comes first. Every job and contract is confirmed in a written quote, usually sent through Jobber. If anything in your approved quote is different from these terms, the quote wins.
Using this website
The information on this website describes our services in general. Prices, availability and service areas can change, and nothing on the website is an offer we're bound by until we've sent you a written quote and you've approved it.
Please don't misuse the website, for example by sending false quote requests, attempting to break its security, or copying its content for commercial use.
Quotes
- Quotes are free and come with no obligation.
- Your quote is based on the address and information you give us. If the property or the work turns out to be different, for example a larger driveway or more debris than described, we'll tell you and adjust the quote before doing extra work.
- A quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise.
- You accept a quote by approving it online through the link we send, or by confirming it in writing by text or email.
Snow removal contracts
What's included
- Automatic service. Service is triggered when 2 cm or more of snow has accumulated. You don't need to call. We monitor the weather and dispatch crews when the trigger is reached.
- Clearing time. Your driveway and primary walkways are cleared within 24 hours of the end of each qualifying snowfall.
- Unlimited visits for qualifying snowfalls during your contract period.
- Snow placement. Cleared snow is placed in a suitable location on your property.
- Ice. We treat ice on the areas we clear using ice melt and scrapers.
- Public sidewalk salting is available as a paid add-on and is only included if it's on your quote.
What's not included unless it's on your quote
- Removing snow from your property (hauling), and scraping packed snow or ice down to the pavement with a skid steer. These are quoted separately.
- Roofs, decks, patios and areas not listed on your quote.
Your contract period
Your contract begins on the date you sign it and ends when winter ends, whatever the date. If snow comes early or late, your contract still covers it.
Helping us clear your property
- Keep vehicles, bins and other items off the driveway when you can. We clear around anything left in the way, and we can't scrape a driveway down to pavement unless vehicles are moved.
- Mark the edges of your driveway, garden beds and anything that sits low (curbs, sprinkler heads, landscape lighting) before the ground freezes. We don't supply markers.
- Keep gates unlocked and access clear for the areas on your contract, and let us know about pets.
Weather and delays
The 24-hour clearing time starts when a qualifying snowfall ends. During extreme storms, blizzards, extended snowfalls or equipment breakdowns, visits may take longer. We'll do our best to keep you informed and get to you as soon as it's safe.
Fall cleanups and other services
- The work included is what's listed on your quote.
- For cleanups, leaves and yard debris are bagged and hauled away from your property, unless your quote says otherwise.
- Please give us clear access to the areas on your quote and secure pets during the visit.
- We schedule around the weather. If rain, snow or frozen ground prevents us from doing the work properly, we'll reschedule and let you know.
Payment
- We send invoices by email or text through Jobber, and you can pay online.
- Snow removal contracts are paid either in advance for the season or monthly. Your quote shows which option you chose.
- Fall cleanups and other one-time work are invoiced when the job is complete.
- Prices on your quote are in Canadian dollars, plus GST.
Changes and cancellations
- For one-time work, let us know at least 24 hours before the scheduled visit if you need to cancel or reschedule.
- To cancel a snow removal contract, give us written notice by text or email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billed month, and payments for months already started are not refunded.
- If we can't continue to service your property, we'll tell you in writing and won't charge for service we don't provide.
Property and damage
We take care on every property. Snow clearing and yard work can occasionally scuff lawn edges, move gravel or catch items hidden under snow.
- If you think we've caused damage, tell us within 7 days and send photos if you can. We'll look at it and make it right where we're responsible.
- We aren't responsible for damage to items that were hidden, unmarked or left in the work area, for normal wear on lawns from snow piled on them, or for problems that existed before our visit.
Photos of our work
We may take photos of our work for job records and to show our work on this website and social media. We never publish your street address or anything that identifies you without your permission. If you'd prefer we don't photograph your property, just tell us.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service involved, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses such as lost time or income. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Manitoba consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Website content
The text, photos, logo and design of this website belong to Precision Property Services. Please don't copy or reuse them without permission. Customer reviews shown on the website are quoted from Google and belong to their authors.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you approve a quote is the one that applies to that job or contract.
